Big steps

After working two years at an international consultancy firm I realised this wasn’t for me. I had studied earth sciences [the science of the OUTSIDE] only to sit behind an ever-changing desk (flexible working- not for me) and stare at a screen for 8 hours straight each day. I figured I should start over again. Luckily I still had something up my sleeve. I am in LOVE with the ocean. And conservation of marine ecosystems – or any other ecosystem as you will.
This year I start my second MSc studies in Oceanography, with a specialisation in marine ecology and biology. Yay! Looking forward to this new step. I’m also a bit scared. It is a step away from the security and stability I so carefully build up (but what is stability if you’re unhappy). Also, Rob and I will be living apart for at least half a year, maybe more. I feel passionate though and cannot wait to leave. I guess I’ll do just fine. Southampton see you in September.
