Commons park

Today I went to the main University campus to register with a GP (doctor). They have a Uni GP so that was quick and easy. The Highfield campus is lush green, which I like of course. From Highfield you can walk straight into Southampton’s biggest city park: Southampton Commons.

I went there to visit the Hawthorns urban wildlife centre. They claim a chance to see (albeit small) wildlife and learn more about the parks plant species/butterflies/etc. Based on the online information I considered signing up for volunteering work at the centre, to help maintaining the park and do tours with primary school groups. My visit today was a bit disappointing in terms of the Wildlife centre. So I’ll reconsider the volunteering..

The close-up photo opportunities were great though – all the autumn colors. Some snaps below ! \/

    1. Hoi mam, Ik ben bij de praktijk geweest vandaag maar het was gekkenhuis dus de dokter zelf niet gesproken. In engeland ben je gratis verzekerd voor health care. Ik hoefde niet eens mijn EHIC te laten zien! xx
